Charging on run or tow?
 

I think I read earlier someone said best to charge on run instead of tow. Did I read that correctly? I guess just switch back to tow once the charge is completed.

Charging circuit is totally independent of Run/Tow position.
Assuming the cart is not modified, and has the original charger, the cart is disabled from moving while the charger is plugged in, so switching run/tow is kind of pointless.
Changing the Run/Tow position for long term storage can be beneficial, but for every day cart usage, the only thing it does is wear out the switch.

Do as Fairtax stated.

And leave the cart in run all the time, even after charging. Switch to tow only for long periods of non-use or when you are going to do any work on the cart.

Leave the charger hooked up anytime you are not driving it.

i don't even turn the key off for charging, haven't for 10 years

And I get nervous when I accidentally leave the key on overnight!:confused2::lhmo:
