1981 ez go three wheeled golf cart driven clutch

i noticed today that my driven clutch doesn't have a bolt to hold it on, it just can slide off. i assume the belt would hold it from going out of alignment but i feel there should be something else there. This is my first cart and i bought it cheap so i wasn't expecting much.

There should be a bolt thru the center.I wouldn't run it without it,You may get a suprise you really won't like(ex..Clutch flying off and severing fuel-lines &/or batt. cables= dead-cart and FIRE!!)or at minimum a damaged shaft on the axle, requiring new axle, clutch or many parts.Remove the clutch and see if the bolt fell out or snapped off.Hope this helps.

hey thanks there's nothing in the shaft broken off so that's a good sign but does anyone have a picture of what the bolt should look like? and i was also wondering if it is something i can pick up at a hardware store or if its a specific part
