Bad throttle sensor maybe???
Hello all! Trying to fix my grandmothers cart.
It will not go forward or backwards. I flipped the tow switch and I can hear the solenoid click. The reverse buzzer works. I知 thinking it could be the throttle sensor. The cart is a 2011 48volt Yamaha drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Check the pedal switch and ignition switch before you check the throttle pot

Re: Bad throttle sensor maybe???
I figured the pedal switch and throttle sensor was the same part that is located behind the petal

Throttle sensor is variable and pedal switch is just on/off

Update:
Finally was able to get over to my grandmothers to check the cart. I installed a pedal switch or throttle sensor behind the pedal and also cleaned and tightened all battery connections. Some of the old symptoms before it completely died was sometimes it would not move until I would flip the run tow switch on and off. Right before it died it kind of was like jumping moving forward. Now it痴 dead Still have reverse buzzer. Still have solenoid clicking. Still cart will not move when pressing pedal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Throttle position sensor is on the right side of the throttle pedal, it reads throttle position (angle) off the pivot shaft. It's held in place by two 7mm head screws. The bottom one is a bit of a bugger to get to, you can grind a 1/4" drive 7mm socket shorter to get it out.
Part #45 in this image. Part number should be JW2-H5885-00-00 |
Re: Bad throttle sensor maybe???
Does the cart resists being pushed around, while beeping at you. If so, we can rule out the controller as the problem.

Re: Bad throttle sensor maybe???
I値l have to go check that. I知 pretty positive it does resist, but I値l need to verify.
If it just freely rolls without resistance in run it痴 likely the controller? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just got back from checking it. It has zero resistance in run mode. The beeper still beeps, but you can push it with no stoppage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
