battery losing charge
 
i have a 93 club car. it has a new battery and its not charging. im new to the golf cart world and clueless as can be. is there an altenator that has went bad or what. also i would love to know wether my cart is a predesent or a ds.

check the model number on the plate, where the rail from the dash and floor board meet.
Make sure alternator belt is not slipping.
U know U also have a voltage regulator mounted inside a black plastic box.
See the gas diagrams above in the stickies.

what am i checking the model number for. is that where it says wether it is a ds or not. im not at home but i can remember the first four are fg93

also check your micro switches on the f-n-r selector. when i got my cart the switch was bad and one of the wires wasnt making contact. the motor would start in forward neutral or reverse. but it had to be charged every few days couldnt figure it out. somthing wasnt letting the alternator charge the battery. i replaced the microswitches and it now properly starts only in forward or reverse (unless in maintenance mode) and seems to be maintaining the battery like normal.

if you have a carryall is wont be a ds. fg states that it is a "Carryall I Gasoline Flatbed/Pickup Utility" and the 93 should be the year. both which you already knew about your cart. check your voltage regulator and your microswitches.

How about this for an answer,
so I can find the correct wiring and trouble shooting guide ,
sooooo I could have helped U out.

well i charged the battery all night and when i got up this morning i tried to go out and run it. when i push the pedal all you get is a thud. im going to put a load test on the battery and get back with yall.
