Calibrate rxv stock State of Charge
Is there any way to calibrate the stock led acid rxv State of Charge meter to work with lithium conversion.

This is a very good meter, but there are other types for less than $50.00. Just make sure what ever you get has a shunt that will be connected to the battery positive terminal. https://www.renogy.com/500a-battery-monitor-with-shunt/ |

So maybe the better question would be.
Does the stock EZGO RXV state of charge work off of a shunt and can the calibration be changed through the controller? |
Re: Calibrate rxv stock State of Charge
I would say "No" and likely could be wrong. There are many different "state of charge" meters ranging from bar graph to volt meters.
But unless it has a shunt at the negative battery post that allows the meter to sense full current flow, it cannot be accurate. Does your pack negative have a shunt connection on it? I believe some do it electronically but I am not at all familiar with them. Additional: Just looked at replacement RXV meters to see what you have. This is only a voltmeter that monitors FLA packs voltage to determine remaining life. For sure this will not work with lithium batteries. |
