Changing from 6-8v to 8-6v

I have a 2002 CC DS 48V. I think that I would like to go to 8 6 volt batteries. There is room in the bagwell. Is this going to be as easy as I think? Anything to look out for? Anyone have pictures ?
Thanks for your help.

Just curious, what is the reason for wanting to go to 8 six volts?
Have some who weighs 150# sep up onto the bagwell area and see how much the cart goes down? That's all weight behind the axle. Yes, technically, you will get 33% more run time but that is offset some by carrying the extra 150# around.....so maybe 25%. I have one with 8 6v. And one with 6 8v. I will change to 6 8v when I buy new batts.

I just replaced my 6, 6volt batts with 8. The 48 volts is a great improvement. My cart is an updated 86 model EZGO. I ran the negative lead from the last battery in the 36v series to the positive of the first additional batt. The negative from the second new batt attached to the motor where the neg from the original 36v went. Really pretty simple if you don't mind the added weight. Since my cart was 36v to begin with, the weight doesn't even come close to the additonal performance.

Nice clean work. Once they break in it will be even better.
