Club car carryall 2 bed actuator????

Hello I was wondering if anyone did a linear actuator on there carryall aftermarket or even if they have a factory one??... If so I'm wondering the stroke length needed to make it work properly/ the measurement between the two mounts when closed and when opened

Thanks greatly appreciate it if anyone can give me feedback asap

I think I read somewhere on here that was 7" but would depend where it was mounted. I think if you keep searching here you will find the thread I once read. I was going to put one on my carryall but decided to just use manual means.

Now that you have one and installed how about telling us the answers to your original question.

I'm considering doing this and whatever information you can share about your setup including sources, photos, etc will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Club car carryall 2 bed actuator????

Here are the specs on mine, but I would change some things.
14" closed, 20" extended, thus 6" travel, rated for 225lbs.
Here is what I would change.
I would go with an 8" travel to completly dump the contents of my bed. The 6" is just shy of going far enough. Also I have overloaded mine a couple of times and it's already grinding and not long for this world. When I replace it I will go with at least a 500lb rating. Here is a link to the one I will go with.

It's rated for 675lbs. and has a stroke of 8". Don't waste your money and time on anything less than this.

Thanks, I'm seeing an actuator in my future. I assume that you had to fabricate the mounting brackets. Any suggestions and/or photos showing the finished install?

Re: Club car carryall 2 bed actuator????

I fabricated both brackets from 2-1" angles and welded spacers between the widtch of the actuator mountings which was 1". The top bracket I made 18" long to go from the front of the bed to the hinge point to distribute the loading. I thought it would be a pain to drill the mounting locations but it turned out there was adjustment in the actuator so I didn't have any problem. I ordered another actuator Monday and can't wait to get it installed. I put few hundred #'s of dirt on my cart at a time to move. I don't have any pics because cart is at lakehouse and I only get there every couple of weeks.
