Starter/generator Problems
I bought a used 1991 ez go 4 stroke cart, It starts great runs great but the battery keeps going dead. So installed a new battery..same problem. So check the voltage at the battery when running only get 12volts. So next I changed the VR same thing only 12v. Then I put new brushes in the S/G. Same thing 12 volts. While it was running I grounded out DF wire from the S/G same thing 12volts. Also when I have it running and unhook a battery cable end it dies.I have double checked all wires everything is good. So if somebody can lead me to something else to try......Thanks

Re: Starter/generator Problems
Well, check also if your battery needs replacement. How old is it?

Can a Harley v/r be rewired to work on 1991 ez go? Also could the solenoid affect the charging system? |
Re: Starter/generator Problems
Change solenoid no Luck.....
Bought me a 12volt solar battery charger today, going to mount it on the roof n see if that will keep it charged until I figure the rest out. Ya I know it will only work on sunny days  |
