What did you do to/for your EZGO today?

I got the horn installed. I installed the horn button just below the seat level where there's a hole already in the body, I guess for the F-R shifter.
I also bought a new trailer to haul mine around on.
It's a pretty light weight trailer (max 2000#) but it is a tilt and will haul the two things I got it for.. the cart and the lawn tractor.

Now, what did you do to/for your cart today?

I rubbed it gently on the back bumper and then caressed the headlights:mrgreen:

I mocked up a longer steering arm and tested it...... it looks good for the real deal to be made now, so I will have an improved turning radius

I started wiring up the blinker system today, but found out that the wiring diagram isn't looking like it goes along with the wiring in the deluxe head light harness. Why isn't anything I start, easy?

Re: What did you do to/for your EZGO today?

If it was easy, ANYONE could do it!

I left it with my wife. I asked her to go out and rub the bumper and caress it's head lights. I'm hoping she calls back, cause she sure aint answering calls from me:help::roll:

I cleaned the batteries and took some of the water out of the batteries. They were overflowing and keeping batteries wet. Then I washed it and buffed it.

Oh yeah, I took it for a drive and it thanked me! :)

I completed my blinker/flasher install. I've still got the brake light portion to do. Took it out for a test drive... I like!

Re: What did you do to/for your EZGO today?

Jacked it up, Removed all 4 wheels, Cleaned up the drums and everything in the wheelwells including the axles.

Did a complete interior detail of the battery compartment.

Removed all batteries and relaced with 4 new Interstate U2200s. Got them for $63 each through a supplier.

Probably have spent 8 hours on the cart over the last 3 days but hey, it's new.

Bought a JVC head unit from Best Buy and 2 6x9s on the inet and am planning on doing a stereo install this weekend if the speakers get here in time.

Also scouring the internet for a 4-5 inch lift...

Yes and my forearms look like shredded cheese. Next time I will wear a long sleeve shirt. Also a battery lift would have been nice. I am a big boy and the angles and weight of the batteries were hard to manage.

Re: What did you do to/for your EZGO today?

Today, for my EZ-Go, I read an article in the Chicago Tribune describing the new law in Illinois that will allow golf carts to be classified as NEV's and used on public roads. The law takes effect Jan. 1, 2010. I am a turn signal kit and seat belt kit away from compliance. Looks like I got more research to do.....

SpoiledRotten 09-17-2009 09:11 AM

Re: What did you do to/for your EZGO today?

I wish MS would get something on the books to allow the carts on the road. I still don't see how they could really enforce something against the carts as long as they have as much as a farm tractor that travels on the road with their SMV triangles on the back.
