I got my exhaust all welded up and mounted, got a set of Kawasaki Brute Force 750 shocks - they are perfectly 6 inches over and adjustable. Got the air box put together and mounted. Other than a dead motor, she's ready to go!!! Next step, tear it all apart again.

Hey all..

Don't post much, but am still building on the G8.
Next I am planning on upgrading the motor. Was wondering the pitfalls, issues and is there a setup out there for the G8. Would like to use something already put together in a package of some kind if that is even available.
I know I have had to do a lot of parts from other models to do what I have done now....haha

Hi Chpman! Welcome to the club! Nice looking G8 :-P LOVE THE COLOR!!!!

When you say you want to upgrade your motor, are you looking to freshen up your current block, or are you looking to put a whole new engine in it?

Thanks!

I want to upgrade to a new motor. I have seen a lot about the 18-23hp upgrades and think something like that would be great.

The only problem as usual is that I don't see a package for a G8. I would like something as close to "plug and play" as possible.

So I wanted to pick some brains of folks who have already done the deed.

Thanks again!

Bob

CHPMAN -- Good lookin' cart! Anything wrong with your old motor, or just trying for more OOOOOMMPPHHH! I think a couple of our sponsors sell "kits" to make things go easier --- I believe PLOWMAN'S has been mentioned and there are probably others. I doubt anyone has a true "plug & play" set up as so many people want their buggy just a bit different than everyone else. Different clutch, different electronics, different lift/angle, ... but our sponsors are good places to start!

Where is E. WA are you? Have you told me before? My mind is not too reliable any more. I'm in the hills outside of Oroville.

Very nice work Bob!! Be Proud!! Don't know for sure, but won't a Briggs kit for a G9 bolt in. And you'd get that from Cartpartsplus.com.

And Jim, yours looks great as well!! You gonna rebuild the motor?

Meant to drop a pic of my Ruger 10-22 last week when we were discussing, but I'm late, so here

I like that floating bull barrel.

I don't care for Mt. Dew. SunDrop has a little more zing.
