Charger Gone Bad?

I'm was getting okay readings across my batteries, but for some reason this weekend when I plugged the charger in... I couldn't get it to kick on. Is there anyway to test a charger to see if it is working correctly?

I'm not totally sure what on the cart tells the charger to turn on (maybe the controller?) but is there a chance that went bad somehow? Anyway to test that?

Sorry for the lack of details, but I am a bit new to this and hoping someone can shed some light on it. Thanks in advance!

Did you plug it into the cart all the way?
Also, was the outlet you plugged it into fine?
Any cords damaged from the charger?
know how old it is?

Yeah, in all the way.
Outlet was fine.
No cords were damaged.
Not sure, bought it used.

I am beginning to think the batteries are just so low, they won't charge with it. Going to try hooking a 12V car charger up to 2 batteries (8V each) and charge them up to 12V. Hopefully that will be enough to kick it on.

They did last I checked. I'll check again before hooking the car charger up to them.

There is a fusible link in most if not all chargers. On the ones I have it is visible thru a clear glass on the front of charger. Batteries will not kick on charger if they are drained too much but you mentioned good readings on batteries? Should have 12 to 12.5 fully charged

I had the charger checked out by a local shop and they said it was fine. I'm thinking the batteries are just too drained to kick on the charger.

When I mentioned I had good readings, I meant after they were charged last time. Guess I should have clarified that.
