it just clicks
On my 89.its been acting up when you hit the pedal it would just click then after a few tries it would turn over. Now I can't even get it to turn over. I have 12 v between the small posts on solenoid . I've been trying to find my problem with no luck. Could you guys help me out?

Re: it just clicks
I would suspect that you have burnt contacts inside your solenoid. Occasionally it would eat through the arcing but now it is so badly burnt it is no longer making contact. You could jump across the two big terminals to see if it cranks but I am guessing you just need a new solenoid. Do not be tempted to buy an auto starter solenoid as they are not rated for continuous duty.

Re: it just clicks
Sometimes a 12V reading gives the impression that you still have a good battery. Thus, it may show an acceptable voltage but there is no juice (amps) anymore. Charge it or better still, get a new one.

Re: it just clicks
The battery is charged I am using one of my big deep cycles while figuring things out. I'll try jumping across the solenoid let you guys know shortly.

Re: it just clicks
That was it! I swear I'm going to replace all the parts on this thing before I'm done. And some of my parts lol. Kind of chopped off my finger nail (ring finger on left hand). The fiance is going to love that one Haha.

Re: it just clicks
Deep cycle batteries are not designed as starter batteries. Try the usual automotive batteries.

Re: it just clicks
It's your call. I use an EZGO solenoid on my G2.
