For sure there is nothing that will be "plug and play". Anything you install will need some engineering.

Right off the bat, I am contemplating those gas charged pistons that are used to help raise the rear hatches on SUVs. If you were to procure a couple of those, attached one on each side of frame and to the body itself, might that help? You would have to reinforce the body where the piston attaches for sure. It would also take some trial and error to figure out exactly where the mounting spots should be. That said, in theory it they would have to help lift the body.

I would lean toward a 12V linear actuator similar to a dump bed install.
I wish I was closer, I would love to tackle that project.
Back in the day we did some projects like that for wounded veterans programs or people that just had challenging circumstances.
Do you have any pictures of the cart with the body closed and open and of the inside area?

I just installed the gorilla trailer gate assist finally. I've not been able to lift my gate without assit of someone or something. Yet now I have them installed, it's amazing, I can lower it with push of a finger and no dropping to ground and loud noise. And for lifting it it is same way. Little to no effort. I first thought of my harley body and tried to contact them numerous times but never no reply. Thought someone there mite come up wit something
