Dumbfounded????

So, all of the sudden my lights and my stereo don’t work. Everything else is fine. Any ideas?

Re: Dumbfounded????

Sounds like you have 12v lights and stereo running off a voltage reducer

Like Gazoo said. What setup do you have?

Re: Dumbfounded????

The stereo is run through a voltage reducer, but not the lights.

Re: Dumbfounded????

If the lights and voltage reduced are fed from the battery pack using the same wire then a fuse may have blown or a wire melted through.

If a wire melted through would it cause a short?

Re: Dumbfounded????

Yes. Depending on your wiring, it would've shorted blowing a fuse or if there was no fuse, melted the wire until it was no longer conducting.

Re: Dumbfounded????

Check and see if you use the reducer and find out if you are getting voltageby using a VOM. The shouldt be a fuse in the circuit. Is there voltage to and out of it. If you don't know if thefuse is good use the continuity choice and asure current does or doesn/t pass through.

If all ele fails get someone that knows basic electricity to help.
