Looking a 2nd cart - maybe a DS
 

Now that I have my RV setup permanently and my cart stored with it, I really want a second cart to get around on. My son stays gone on the cart a lot and we are often left stranded. I've got my eye on a couple of DS's that are for sale in the area of the campground but I am not able to look at them until I go back down there next week. One is a 2001 DS and the other is a 2003. I really want to stay with a club car because I like them and am hoping the chargers will be interchangeable. So, my question is - are they? Will the PowerDrive II charger with my Precedent charge an early 2000's DS and vice versa? I should know the answer but the Precedent is the only electric cart I've ever owned.

I have heard that all PD chargers (I, II, III) are all backwards and forwards compatible...

Yes. All PowerDrive chargers. Whether they're 1, 2, or 3 will all charge either car.

if you buy a cart it should come with a charger, if not walk away

I would definitely want a charger for ea. however it would be nice if they were the same so you had a back up if something happened.

I would also consider going with another precedent so when you had issues you could easily compare.
