On the reworking of the. Start switch. Do I wire a on off switch and shut it off when it starts or do I .leave it on as long as it is running?

Are you talking about a switch in place of the key-switch?The power goes thru the key-switch,down to the pedal-switch,thru the pedalswitch to the starter-relay(solenoid).More cart info helps, but this is the basic set-up.Hope this helps.

I had a toggle for awhile until I found an OEM replacement keyswitch, flip it on before you jump in and take off, flip it off when you're done !!!

Specifically it stays on as long as you want the cart to be able to start. The key switch puts power to the peddle switch which fires the solenoid which by the way stays closed for as long as the cart runs.

Hope this helps

He is trying to figure out about bypassing the micro switch Scotty..

He was wondering if the "bypass switch" stays on all the time..
but he has started two or three threads, so I don't know where he is on it.
