Extreme Team install
Possibly a dumb question, but I am installing a lithium battery from Extreme Team in a 2013 precedent. The ring terminals from the cart are too small so I must cut and install new ones. I'm just curious if anyone knows exactly what size I need to get. Controller and motor are stock.

Drill them out.

Re: Extreme Team install
Holes need to be 3/8". Drill them out as mentioned above or you can buy some 3/8" terminals for 2 gauge cable at autozone.

Re: Extreme Team install
I drilled mine out where needed. Use the proper tool (something like this: https://www.amazon.com/CO-Z-Cobalt-M...5422472&sr=8-2) and not just a big drill bit or you'll wad stuff up (don't ask me how I know)......

Re: Extreme Team install
A pencil die grinder or dremel with a burr bit works way better so you don’t snaggle the terminal.
However in doing so, you remove the finish of the terminal which opens it up for corrosion if it’s a tin plated or gold plated terminal. Other down side to replacing the terminals with proper 3/8 terminals is you need the correct tool to crimp them. Your crusty old stripper/crimper combo ain’t gonna cut it. But that is the better way to do it. |

I got a short cable to use for SOC from Blake. He advised using a stepdrill to open up ring Terminals. Worked perfect and real easy

Also, thanks for the suggestion to use a step up bit and drill it out, worked perfect. |

Couple questions. I had a plug and play light kit and reducer that had this blue wire that attached to a negative post of one of the old batteries. How do I get this to work with the lithium battery? Also this red wire comes out of a group of wires coming from the charging receptical. I guess this one won’t be needed anymore since I am putting in an onboard charger. https://imgur.com/a/NicW0XR
