Switched on/off power

We are installing the eco battery voltage reducer in a 2015 ydrex6 AC, looking for a 48 volt switched power source. I don't want to embarrass myself but so far it seems to be the large terminal on the solenoid. Any help, suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So if I am looking at the right diagram for the right converter it shows an orange wire can be run to the key switch to use as a trigger to turn on and off the reducer.

yep I have the quickstart guide, which say to connect to switched B+ power source such as the on side of the key switch. The Yamaha key switch is only
just under 5 volts not pack B+ voltage. Will 5 volts activate the converter?

You may have to add a relay to switch the power to the converter if the key switch isn't at 48V. I don't know anything about the newer Yamaha drives. My two are 2009 and 2012 and they have 48V on the key switch.

Will recheck my voltage readings.

Not sure how you would end up with 5v. Where did you have the leads of your meter at while testing that it came up with 5v.

The factory AC car has 5 volt logic at the key switch

Thank you rstacy, Can I activate a relay switch by connecting to switch wires?
Any suggestions where to grab switched pack voltage other than main cart relay?

I don't know what voltage your relay is looking for but please careful when attaching a relay to the 5-volt line. Be sure to use a diode to prevent damage to the controller. The diode will absorb the energy stored in the relay coil when you shut the current off.
