Carryall 295 drive questions

New to these carts but have lots of snowmobile clutch time. I just bought a fairly new Clubcar carryall 295, all alum frame 4 wheel disk all wheel drive elec dump. Great utility vehicle now I need to work on it. Where is a good source of books and parts? First problem is it wants to grind when put into gear, can drop the idle way down and it works kinda. When not in gear the drive clutch seems to still grab the belt, and the belt seems very loose, what is proper deflection? The belt also seems to sit down in the driven clutch at least an inch or two, normal? Answers would be great, link to books even better. Do I need a puller for the drive clutch? I know on my sleds the shaft is tapered.

Wow, over 50 looks and no help. Well found the ClubCar dist in the area and ordered the maint manual. Pulled the drive clutch apart on the cart as I don't have the puller and it seemed dirty but no wear. The belt does concern me so I will look to see if I can find the spec's to see if it has worn as there is a lot of room in the drive clutch to the sides of the belt, and the belt has a lot of deflection. Got the cart to idle and it does help with the grinding when putting it in F or R . I think I need some performance parts in the clutches to give it some more snap, this 23hp should make this thing fly but it seems doggy. Please chim in if you have any ideas on this cart. The more I get into it the more I like it.

I think the problem with it is that although most of us have seen a picture of one, nobody has one. I have never seen one. not even at the local dealer. I have a 23 in mine, but it is an aftermarket thing...

good luck with your quest..
