1986 Gas Tank
 

Will a 1992+ gas tank work in my 1986 cart? I can't seem to find any for sale in my year cart :help:

Check out the 1984-85 IPL Page 2-26, part #4 (CC #1012347).

I seem to recall another thread similar where I suggested Craigslist for a junker for parts just to pull the tank. Do a thread search and see - sorry, on my way out right now... Didn't see anything quick...

Thanks, a bunch:thumbup:.... after looking at those diagrams, it seems mine has a 92+ tank already. Guess I will just buy a new one. Mine is stripped out where the fuel line goes in the tank.

Where did you find it for that price? I need one as well, mine leaks from the nutserts. Thanks for any help.

when you say stripped out is it leaking on top of the tank ? can you get me a pic of it , i had one of these with a bad fitting pickup tube and ended up using parts from the hardware store to fix it , simple plastic faucet pickup tube and a barbed 90 degree elbow and a rubber and metal fender washer inbetween the two at the top of the tank with a little glue
