2015 RXV FREEDOM reverse beeper "EAR PLUGGED"

My wife and I just love her cart. ( notice the avatar photo, YEP, it's HER cart) But we did not care for the reverse beeper. I am aware of all the problems removing it can cause. Or just disconnecting it!!! So with the info attained here on the forum, today I attacked it. I must say, it is the EASIEST upgrade i have done so far. Turn off and remove key. Lift seat. Block wheels. Switch to "TOW" Remove three plastic plugs holding electronics cover. (the hardest part) Gently lift cover, and there it is!!! The OFFENDING BEEPER!!! Gently insert one yellow foam EAR PLUG in the opening. Wrap a piece of duct tape around it, being careful not to disturb the wires. AND YOU ARE DONE!! Put it all back together and go for a test ride. What a joy not to hear that stupid BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP each time we back it out of the garage. Thanks Guys!!!

I did this over the weekend as well. That stock buzzer is just crazy loud.

Good news; I didn't cut out the buzzer and tie the two wires together thanks to this site. Saved me some !

I put electrical tape across the output of the beeper. That didn't completely silence it, left just enough "beeping" to remind me that it's in reverse. Personally, I think that's a good compromise so I don't leave Reverse selected, forget, then back up when I was expecting to go Forward.

I did the tape trick to the turn signal beeper and that was perfect, just enough "beep" to be heard but not offend. But that reverse beeper was TOO loud and would disturb the neighbors and their DOG ( who then disturbed everyone ) on my late night rides. Perfect for my situation, but I understand your thoughts.
