tire sizes

I use my cart for hunting and on my farm. there are a couple of fair size hills not too bad. I have found a 2006 ezgo with 295.the dealer cut me a deal on it plus he's gonna install tires and 5 inch lift. what size tires would ya'll recommend for torque from a stock motor. I have to call him monday to tell him size. used mostly in pastures and on log roads.

Re: tire sizes

You will want a 22 inch tire for your application.

Funny you have to ask - does your dealer not know what size tires to install? Seems he should be on top of this and know what options would be available to you?

Just saying...

Glad to see you getting an EZGO Gasser:thumbup:

i've alway had ez go gassers. i just value ya'lls opinion because yall are helpfull. and i don't want him to sell me a tire that is too big for the 295 to turn. just so he can make more money. i don't want to big of a tire just for shock value. i want functionality. thanks Jamey

OK Jamey, if you want fuctionallity go for a (mostly) round tire. Don't let him sell you one of those squarish ones as they ride pretty rough and make funny noises - though they do real well when parked.:lhmo:

Re: tire sizes

22" mounted on a 10" rim is a good and less expensive option. Don't have them use a 22" tire mounted on the 8" wheels - too much side wall flex. also, you should get HD rear springs added to the rear. All the way around HD's would be the best setup with the lift kit...

thanks troubador, i was thinking about going with the round ones. what i meant was that i didn't want a tire too tall that i didn't have the power out of the stock motor to turn them when going up a hill or loaded heavy.

I understood - but I have trouble not making smart-@ss remarks. I can usually hold myself back, but sometimes ....

At least on this forum I don't have to worry too much about offending people. It seems that here I'm one of the least offensive people on the forum! At least until I get over my shyness of being a "newby".
