1990 EZGO marathon body kit
Is there anyplace to order a custom body kit for a 1990 EZGO marathon?

I have a 1989 Marathon and have not been able to locate anything. In fact used body parts for these sell for a lot on eBay. I have seen a front cowl sell for $200.00 whereas you can buy an entire fiberglass body of the newer carts (original body) for half that.

Is there any way to adapt, or rig a newer style body to fit these carts?

I read on these forums where someone did it; but was a lot of work. Just a quick FYI - you can buy lift kids, both drop spindles, HD rear springs and suspension lifts.

Maybe I should have done some research before buying, but it came up suddenly and the price was too good to turn down. |

Same with me; however I like my Marathon and prefer the metal body. I can fabricate a new front cowel if needed and can repair any dents easily. You can also convert it over to a solid state controller - ScottyB i know was just recomending that very option to someone in a different thread (2 carts saved) i beive it was.

Keep paying attention to the For Sale thread that is here on the site. If you look back a little while, there was someone that was selling all of the sheet metal for the Marathon. Parts come and go. There will be someone selling what you need inevitably. :thumbup: :thumbup:

from what I have been reading 94 and up are different. I still haven't been able to figure out what the major changes are, but apparently these bodies won't fit a 90

I beleive the 94 + bodies and frames are slightly smaller so they will not "stretch" over the Marathon frame.
