Bobcat 2100 - Club Car Derivative?
 

I just ran across a 2007 Bobcat 2100. The owner says they just rebuilt the differential and said he thought they may have something in common with Club Car because they have an all aluminum frame and they share some similarities. It supposedly has a Kawasaki engine and runs off a belt. It has 2000 hours on it.

Does anyone know anything bout these units and how much this one might be worth? I'm familiar with their skidloaders but don't really know much about these units.

I think he is right ,they look to be built from a club car:thumbup: the ones I have seen have been real pricey.

Does Club Car use Kawasaki engines in their gas rigs and is there any life in the normal gas engine after 2000 hours. He says it runs great w/no smoking and hasn't done anything on the engine outside of normal maintenance.

CC's Have used Kawasaki engines for a long time now and 2000 hours is nothing on a well maintained motor.
I can only speak of golf carts however, skid steers and bobcats are another animal and considering the hard hat wearing, knuckle draggers who toss cement and sand around with an enthusiasm worthy of an Australian Opal miner I have no idea as to how those engines may have fared.

Is there any particular thing I need to look at on these units. I'm pretty good w/electrics but not too versed in the gas models. I guess if everything looks fairly clean and it drives well and sounds right, it's probably worth a shot.

No way of telling what's going on with an engine Paul short of running or driving it but some tell tale signs are; how clean is the oil, the air filter and general appearance. A well looked after motor won't be smoking, will be smooth running and easy to start. It's almost tactile, I get a feel for something sometimes just talking to the owner. If he's genuine and enthusiastic then he's generally taken good care of his machinery. Not always, but most times I get a good vibe from the owner. Not very scientific I know but I have rarely been led astray.

club car and bob cat are owned by the same company. ingral rand. i have been told the bob cats are basicly the cc 272 with some work related gear on it. dont quote me but thats what a cc dealer told me while looking at a parts options for my carryall. who would havethought the rops and the cabs will fit those but no my carry all.

Pretty sure the Club Car Bobcat is a Club Car. I just tracked down a bunch of parts and a new FE400d engine for one I acquired. Not sure what the Bobcat name on the tailgate means or where it came from. It says Club Car all over the rest of the buggy. I got it from the guy that bought it new and he says he bought it at a Bobcat dealer. It is a 2002 model 2100. Maybe it was marketing ploy Club Car thought was a good idea at the time. Now Bobcat dealers have zero parts for them.

After getting a Bobcat within the last 30 days, working on it, finding parts, and time spent on this forum. It is the exact same cart as a Club Car Pioneer 1200. The transaxle is made by Kawasaki as is the FE400 engine. Bob Cat 2100 = Club Car Pioneer 1200. Once I learned this finding parts has become much easier. Other than longer wheelbase and locking Kawasaki transmission it is much same as any gas Club Car built the same year.

Suspension is different as they have about 12"s of ground clearance. Came with big knobby tires. Built up and shiny they are the ultimate redneck campground cruiser. They even have a pickup truck bed on back that will rise at the touch of a button.

Down side, they are slow. Geared considerably lower than a standard golf cart.
