Your OBC has a lockout feature to prevent driving while charging. You can bypass it fairly easily provided it is a series car (has a forward reverse handle, not a rocker switch)

Simply create a jumper wire from the negative side of your solenoid(small yellow wire) to the b(-) post of the controller.

Just a side note here; if you read 48.9 volts accross your 48v pack it is empty! Not good to drain em below this. Each cell makes 2.5 volts. A totally charged pack could read as hot as 60v. Yours will get stonger over the first 10 or 12 cycles. So, 8v in an 8v battery is empty. 8)

if your jumping the solenoid and its running than replace the solenoid and be done with it..........its not the OBC if it works when jumping the solenoid..............8)
