A better way to 48V?

(6) 8's or 8 6's?

For me it seems like putting 6 8v's would be the answer as long as the footprints were the same.

Thoughts?

I went with 6 8v on my 93 ez-go, they will fit in the same tray but I found that the battery hold downs needed a little modification. Good luck Greg

8 six volt batteries will give you longer run times.

Will 6 8volts give me enough run time for a round of golf?

How do I charge using a single charger? If I did this I would want to use the exising plug and not deal with a second charger.

6 8s on a club car give enough charge for two full rounds of golf and then some..

Buy a 48v charger ($$$). It's the only way you're gonna do it with a single charger. You cannot convert your existing 36v unit. You could sell it however to help on the cost issue.

automatic chargers are anywhere from a couple hundred used to $1000 new, if you get a greedy or high overhead dealer..

Are they specific to EZGO or are the plugs interchangable?
