Dead 2005 EZ-go

I took all 6 batteries out of the cart to clean the rails underneath. I did not know setting the batteries on concrete could damage them, but have since learned that is likely.

I put all 6 batteries back in, installed all the wiring as before, and I am now getting nothing, not even the reverse warning buzzer. The batteries do give a spark but I haven't checked the charge with a voltmeter yet.

Any suggestions??????/

Are all your connections hooked back up correctly? Are all your connections clean and tight?

Have you tried charging them?

Personally, I think the old battery on concrete theory is a myth.

sounds like something is wired wrong.Does the charger work when you plug it in??

I think somewhere that the newer batteries doesn't matter about concrete.Unlike years ago.Not sure.

I have a hard time believing that setting your batteries on concrete long enough to clean will do any damage.. However, if they were weak, and near failure, moving them may have made a plate collapse..

make sure you don't have the polarity reversed on a battery.. it's a pretty common mistake..

Who told you sitting batteries on concrete would damage them? Thats not true. More than likely you have a cable hooked up wrong.

Those batts would have to sit a REALLY long time to do any damage. I always put them on a 2X4 just to be safe.

The batteries and concrete is a mythe. Old batteries it would take months for them to go dead. The newer ones want care where they are.
Now if you are getting sparks I would say you have something wired wrong or a battery is in backward.
