Old Melex cart model?

I just found an old melex cart, its a 4 wheel metal body cart. Its pretty rough. I have a few questions.

Where can I find what model it is/serial number?

The motor is not like any i've seen online for this brand of cart, It has a brake on one end, and the other end has a big housing with a spiral like gear sticking out. The tag on the motor isn't to readable, The brand is something like "elmdr" maybe??. Its a 2.1HP.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

this may seem strange but i just got one to fix up and there is a paint stencil under the seat that says 09/96

the model number and serial number are on passenger side attached on the middle console up high

Re: Old Melex cart model?

Yes the worm gear was in the dif. Is it a two piece? Was it supposed to stay in the dif?
