2006 par car

I have another question about my cart. This electric cart is a speed demon 48V beast but if I am stopped on an incline it doesn't have enough power to pull it up and over the top. Any ideas what could contribute to this loss of power?

Controller doesn't have enough amps to power the motor on the grade.

Hi my friend, all of a sudden I've got no reverse. Found several recommendations to check the key switch and clean it up or replace if terminal posts look burnt. Actually I think it may have an internal problem as when I turn the key to the forward position the cart will move slightly ahead. Your thoughts would be appreciated. My real question is actually on the schematic. I noticed that on the battery series connection that one of the batteries is not connected in series in the bank. One wire + is going to the contactor and from the next battery - is going to the B- terminal on the controller.
I took up electrical when I was in H. S. but that was 50 years ago so I am a little rusty if you know what I mean. Feels good to get back into it somewhat with this piece of junk golf cart that I bought 6 months ago.
Ok back to the question: how come there is no bridge between those 2 batteries to complete the 48V series connection?

If they were all connected you would have a loop and the batteries would burn up. The two wires are what is providing the total series voltage leaving the pack and going into the system.
