How much does an ez-go electric cart weigh?
 

Hey guys!
I have a question. I am looking into ramps to load my cart onto the back of my truck. What is the load weight including batteries. Please help.

The plastic body carts weigh about 900 add 200 if it is a metal body cart or has a rear seat..... Make sure your tailgate is rated for that much too :thumbup:

do yourself a favor, whenever you are loading/unloading your cart, take the tailgate off the truck..... It'll save you some cussing when the cables that hold the tailgate break from being overloaded.

well since mine is a hybrid it should weigh about 1000. right?:mrgreen:

You are far better off getting a trailer.

Thanks for the great advise. I must admit, I was not sure about the tailgate cables snapping. And a trailer sounds like a great idea. My wife and kids want to take our cart other places and I think a trailer would be best. I appreciate all your advice. Talk to you guy soon!

One more thing... with the 4th of July just around the corner, does it sound kinda corney to want to dress our cart in USA colors even adding a flag or so! We love our cart and love our Country?

Unless you plan on pushing it up the ramps don't forget to add the drivers weight to that total.

Take off the tailgate. 1000lbs at the edge is more than the cables will take for long. Had a set break a few years back with three of us sitting on it. Wasn't pretty. Crushed the tailgate on the bumper and spilled my beer.:roll:

If your cart breaks down, how are you going to get it way up onto the back of the truck. Trailer is alot lower & can safely push it up or use a come-a-long to winch it up.

Decorating the cart you can use ribbons & streamers.
