Golf cart disk brakes

Golf cart disk brakes! Yep. 4 wheel disk brakes for TXT's and club cars. I was looking through my copy of golf car advisor and www.sanclementegolfcarts.com has an advertisement for them. I looked on their site and could not find them so I sent them an email asking them if they could send me the info. When/if I get it I will post it.

Cool - thanks, Roady! I'm in! (assuming that they're not cost-prohibitive for me.)

And hopefully they'll have a 'front only' kit.

It's about time they came out for EZGO's. I'll need to buy a set for my workhorse and it's 27hp Kawawi.

It was late friday afternoon when I sent the email. Hopefully Monday I will here back from them. The only info I have on them now is what the ad says.

As follows
4 wheel hydraulic disk brakes
twin piston master cylinder
7 1/2 inch rotors
Easy to install with simple to read instructions.

Yes more thank likely. Muaythai needs them bad on "el gato". Its hard to get it to slow down from 40mph. We put new brakes shoes on the rear but I think they are burnt up now or glazed over.

Re: Golf cart disk brakes

I have noticed that the hydraulic drum brakes on my 480 will stop it in about half the distance vs the mechanical brakes on my other carts. Same basic brakes, just controlled different. The 480 is heaver and runs over 35, yet has no problems stopping. I have had some close calls in the other carts now that i'm use to the 480's brakes. I had always thought front brakes would be great to have, now I don't even think about it now unless I mis-judge stopping with the mechanical brake carts.
