98 ezgo WIDE OPEN ONLY

1998 EZGO DCS WITH 500 ALLTRAX CONTROLLER.
Forward only has 1 speed wide open.If you give it 1/2 throttle it bucks back and forth surging like it has bad connection.Push it to the floor and everything is fine.What could it be?

You said, bad connection. That might be the place to start. Double and triple check all your connections. Unplug, and plug everything back in. Make sure everything is tight. You might have troubles in a few areas. make sure your at full pack power.

Have you done anything recently to your cart? Washed it? Added something?

Welcome to beat BGW

I experience this once, I had put a controller with the wrong throttle input into the cart. Check to see if the throttle input in your Alltrax controller is set for Ezgo ITS.

Nothing has changed in 2 years.Hunting buggy been using every weekend since Deer season opened in October.Cart was fully charged when I left for hunt and ran perfect.When I returned after hunt is when it acted up.Never drove thru any puddles either.All battery connections tight and no corrosion.Connections to controller are hard wired so no loose plugs to worry about there.Thanks for replies and anymore suggestions to check.1st post here but have been lurking here for years getting info on selonoids and such has been helpfull.

You can check the throttle out put at the controller. That's easier than going into the box. The output range differs from manufacture to manufacture. What controller do you have?

Alltrax ITS throttle signal test:

Test pin #2 to Pin #3
Peddle up reading should be 10v down should be 6v
12v = bad ITS 14v = Open circuit
