G16 governor cable issue??
Ok, new to carts, just picked up a '98 gas G16 and it runs fine but I was looking at modifying the governor and found the cable coming from it is unattached...
The cart still runs, wondering where this cable goes to? It looks as if it runs towards the motor and has a fitting on end that looks like it would go to something?? sorry if this sounds ridiculous |
Re: G16 governor cable issue??
Could be the previous owner bypassed the govenor? Check to see if the cable from the gas peddle runs right to the carb.
Maybe some pics would be helpful as well, pretty much everybody on here is visually inclined. |
Re: G16 governor cable issue??
Sounds like they bypassed the governor. You can adjust it at the pedal and at the carb (you'll need two 10 mm wrenches). Just make sure the throttle on the carb completely closes when letting off the pedal otherwise it will backfire when coasting.
