EZGO Big Block Conversion
 

All, I need some advice. I just picked up an EZGO TXT really cheap, I'm thinking of Big Blocking it to a Honda 630 engine. I've read a bunch of stuff online however I know there are people on here who know far much more than I do.

I'm looking to:

-Install Honda GX630 Engine
-Keep forward and reverse (I was looking for a rear end for this unit.)
-Install a new clutch

I've mod'd out my last Club Car Electric, and now on to this project. I've seen the kits out there, approx 1299.00 for the engine and the same for the conversion kit. But the rear end for the reverse seems to be difficult to find.

I'm having trouble figuring out the year of the car, I'm assuming it's a 1986 unit.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Maybe a mod can move this to the Ezgo section. Always seemed better to me to start with a cart that had reverse as a good running trans-axle can cost as much as a whole cart. Good luck there.

1986 (which by the serial is what you have) isn't a TXT, it's a Marathon, and I haven't seen anyone actually doing a BB kit for them yet (not to say it's possible, just haven't come across one myself) ...

1994 was the first year of the TXT, IIRC
