What goes wrong with the g-16 to make it smoke

overfilled with engine oil, worn rings or worn valve seats? could be any of these and maybe some other problem? does it smoke all the time or just when you first crank it up? hve you done a compression test, but it may have good compression and a worn oil ring. i'm no expert but these things come to mind.
