rebuild the shop cart

i thought it was time to add some new life to the old marathon, i will put it up for sale when i'm done so i thought i would record the work for the new owner.
nothing special, just a good used cart when i'm done.
new engine is in and it's time to start sanding and sanding, grinding bla bla!

Looks like a good start PM. If it comes out half as nice as your engine work it will be a very nice cart.

got a little more done today, welded the old holes that the headlights were mounted in.

i like to use slugs to back the hole when welding

the magnet holds it in place

Re: rebuild the shop cart

OK, this cart thing is getting deeper! i had sold a 16hp v twin yesterday and today the buyer found out that this Friday is his last day of work, plant closed. so he ask if he could back out of the sale! so now i'm going to put it in this marathon! well i don't want go though the work of adding to the wheel base, but its going to be a tight fit.
i have put lots of sled engines in the marathons but this briggs is pretty fat to fit in the hole, i stuck it in the hole today to get a feel for it and theres like no room to wiggle.
I'll strap on the old thinking cap tomorrow and do some cutting.
