2004 G21A Plastic Body Panels

3 Attachment(s)
I recently purchased a 2004 G21A (G21AZ) off Craig's list for $400, super clean cart basically no rust.

I swapped out the seized motor with a motor I had laying around from an old G20, and it now runs strong.

I really think this cart has great potential but the rear plastic body is in bad shape. I really want to restore this cart but without a decant rear body I don't think it is worth the effort.

The plastic on this model is much thinner than other Yamaha's I've seen which makes it nearly impossible to repair. The rear body comes in multiple pieces instead of one, I really need the 2 side pieces. I've searched the part numbers with no success. (JJ3-K8111-51-00, JJ3-K8112-51-00)

I have attached pictures of the cart and a close up of the major damage on the body. It is completely detached and somebody did a crap repair with plumbers tape and rivets.

Does anyone know where I can buy these plastics or a process to repair them? Or any other solution?

Thanks!

Here's a link to part numbers, with the part numbers, you can search easier.

Thanks CG,

I am still unable to locate any panels so I figured I would try to fix the panels with Permatex Plastic Weld Adhesive https://amzn.to/2UgtRYO along with some backing. Its a shot in the dark but worth a try.

Have you ever tried plastic welding? If its whole, but just cracked I would just plastic weld it right instead of using epoxy. It will be much stronger and last longer. You'll have to sand it and paint when you're done, but assume you would plan on that anyway

I don't know where you are, but I know of a shop in S.E. Indiana that has an informal boneyard of mostly Yamaha carts. I've found "hard to find" body parts there in the past. Might be worth checking out.

Thanks Meimk,

I contacted them and they don't have them. After removing the body panels I think I may be able to make a decant body with sheet metal and some angle. Basically a similar look to a Club Car Carryall. Ill post pics when I get it completed
