G1 Yamaha with fuel delivery issue

I have read a number of post on this GREAT forum, but still having a problem with my Yamaha G1 cart starting/running at all. The electronics are fine, if you hit the carb mouth with starting fluid it runs.

Here is what I've done:
  1. Cleaned carb completely
  2. Blew out all fuel lines
  3. Pulled fuel pump and cleaned
  4. replaced fuel lines from carb to pump and pump to vacuum port.

The engine still would not start so I pulled the fuel line from the carb and watched for fuel delivery while the engine was turning over. Not much fuel was coming out. So I did this:
  1. Acquired a new fuel pump and installed it.
  2. Installed a new rubber fitting for the gas tank/fuel line connection.
  3. Cleaned the gas tank vent fitting.
  4. Installed a new fuel filter.
  5. Drained fuel tank and refilled.

Engine still would not start, so I did 3 compression tests and best result was 105 psi. Is this too low to create enough vacuum for the fuel pump? How much would new crankcase seals improve the vacuum?

Any help would be appreciated.

crank case seals are the next thing to check. Jack the cart up and push on the gas pedal and let it spin up a bit. while its doing this spray some wd40 around where the crank case seals are. If the RMP changes at all then they are wore out and need replaced. This is a VERY VERY common thing and its pretty easy to do

The cart is not even running so he won't know if the rpm changes!

Air pressure (put the end of a compressor hose- just about 3-4 psi through the tank) will help push gas out, initially. Then press gas pedal to start the cart.
