Need Help Deciding On Which Cart To Buy

Hey all,

In the market for a new-to-me (ie "used" haha) cart that'll be mostly used in the campground, but could also find itself going from pit to pit at the desert races. Soooo many questions...

Gas or electric? I'm leaning towards gas - mostly because I understand gas motors better than electric - they're cheaper to buy (don't know about owning though) - and probably better for the desert - plus...they run on gas!

What should I be looking to spend? I've cruised CL long enough to realize that more or less, the gas cars are generally cheaper - right? Why is that?

Cons on gas for me are really only because I live in Southern California (I know, I know...) & they can be absolute Nazi's about 2 stroke motors in campgrounds. State parks are almost no go's but my toyhauler is 40' so I get in to those places anyhow.

Also - no matter what I buy - I'm going to have either find a cool convertible option for a top or get rid of it altogether b/c it's gotta fit in my trailer!

So, what should I be looking at? Which is a better fit for my needs & what are the pitfalls for each?

Thanks to all in advance for all your help!

I'm looking at this one

And this one - both are gas

Not too much info on the 1st but both are pretty local. Yeah they're both orange, I know. It's a KTM thing I guess 8)

1st one seems to be a early 2000 ds CC I prefer electric but that's just me . I want the quietness and no fuel smell in my trailer .

a simple drop hinge is easy to make to lower your roof line to get it in and out .

Thanks guys. Hey thanks for those links! I just might have to do that.

I think I like the 1st one better too. I'd have to convert it to a 4 seater, but that's no biggie. Waiting to hear back from him. I've got my flatbed trailer hooked to my truck ready to go so we'll see!

Electrics are 3, 4 hundred cheaper around here, at least the ones that are 4 or 5 years old.
