tutti, measure the OD of the carb air horn and then go shopping on the K&N site for whatever size/ type will fit the space.

That is a great site, thanks Flint! Do you want to run a "stock style" K & N filter or a "round/oblong" one? Be carefull that it is not to long, you could have clearance problems with the gas tank. You will also need a larger main jet. Take a look at CPP's web site, he has both. I tried the Jakes "Zemco muffler/K & N filter kit" once for a G22 and the filter was rubbing up against the fuel tank. I made a 90 degree adapter (out of the old airbox joint and a Harley-Davidson Warboro airfilter carb flange) so the filter was pointing up. They didn't send a oversized jet, said it wasn't needed, only on Ezgo's, You WILL need a larger jet, trust me. I was not happy with the "air sucking noise" that set up made and the muffler sounded like a very loud lawn tractor to me:lhmo: Please let us know what you decide to do.

A word of advise. K&N filters allow to many small particles to pass through the element. I had a K&N on my Dodge truck. My turbo was damaged from the use of it. If you want more air with the same particle trap Go to a larger filter box and element.

Very true indeed, but tuti is a racer, and I'm sure he knows that!

Tuti, in one of my posts, I gut the stock air box to just the filter and foam element. I also remove the snorkle on the side. Then I drilled out the main jet to .042, I'm at 1200 feet elevation and with the stock muffler it runs about right (plug color). If I remember, your in Calif. so why don't you dial in the correct jetting and then tell me what that is. Ha, Ha!
You get a lot more throttle response off idle, who knows on top end? But having the stock filter ensures I won't have to change it very often, and its filtering good, and the only air its filtering is the air the motor is gonna use, not everything that passes by it.
Good luck, Mike8)

Ok, maybe your not in Calif.
Also you are running a larger motor, so jetting is going to be different.
Tuti, you have a whole different set up than I'm talking about,(dumb me) oh well, maybe the jetting will get you in the ball park tho. Sorry for my ignorance!

Thanks Mike,
I'm in Pennsylvania, outside of Philly.
I'll try to find you post and take a look.
I should really just leave the cart alone.

Have a nice Thanksgiving
