2005 Gas Club Car DS turnsover only in Neutral
 

I bought a 2005 Club Car DS a few weeks ago to "fix up" for my daughter. I have been adding a few accessories (Light kit, Stereo). After completeing the stero install (no amp - connected directly to the ignition switch). I notice I blew the 10amp fuse, after replacing, the cart will only turnover when in neutral, however, will not start. If it is in forward or reverse it will not turnover at all. Prior to this the car ran fine. Any ideas - maybe solenoid?

no if its turning over solenoid is working, if everything worked pryor i would either go over everything that was done or un-install everything see if cart works and then start over.....................8)

after reading other posts, I realized I had it in maintenance mode - so now it will turnover in Forward and reverse - just won't start.

ok - I will disconnect the stereo (should have connected directly to battery with a switch anyway), and see if that solves it!

yeah you never mentioned putting it in maintence mode but that was the 1st thing i thought of..........when its cranking see if you have spark or not so you can eliminate either spark or fuel but for some reason i think your gonna be lacking spark.......................................8)

I tested and had no spark. Removed the stereo and it worked again.

I will directly connect to the battery via a switch this weekend - thanks for your help!
