wiring in 2 more 6v batts??

2003 series cart, upgraded everything except batts, i'm thinking of going to 48v by adding 2 more 6v batts in back, how would i wire around the ignition and solenoid. any ideas and pics???

Contactor is easy, the negative side is two batteries shy of the negative to the controller. However the controller may not like being a different control voltage than what it is controlling.

Why the key switch? That doesn't need to change it will handle the voltage. If you have already upgraded everything then why worry about it in the first place.

i know the solenoid is 36v, the controller can handle 48v, do you think i can move charge cable to 3rd batt in series to keep solenoid seeing 36v??

Why not just buy a new one and be done?

The 400/1000a solenoid you got has silver oxide contacts. It is more than capable of handling the amperage loads of 48v which are slightly reduce with more voltage. Use your voltmeter to find where the 36v positive battery post is and run from there to the F&R micro. This will feed the whole ignition system and solenoid activation circuit with 36v

What controller are you using?
