Secondary / driven clutch question

i have a couple of questions for you cart guru's.

first, is most secondary / driven clutches splined or keyed?

second if the first answer is splined do you think a keyed driven clutch will hold up to the torque.?

360mx yamaha engine cart weights 1200 lb
