JFWY. :-P some time you just have to cut them off. And I've had them come off after a week, with the puller on them and alot of PB. Some of them can be a BITCH. I put a slide hammer in the little hole and got them off that way

Re: %^*@# ezgo hub !!!!

It helps to understand what happens and why the drum won't come off.... By the way the drum will come off with the method below.
When the shoe wears into the drum a small ridge of unworn material is left around the outer edge of drum. Picture the drum has been cut on a lathe leaving a high ridge around the outer edge. This edge is against the shoe when you try to remove the drum. There are a couple of options but this one works.
On the rear of the backing plate find the 2 flat heads of the shoe retention pins. Chisel, grind, or otherwise remove the heads, one for each side.
Put your drum puller back on and now the drum can pull the shoes forward as it comes off, folding the shoes like a taco. Now get a new drum, shoes, and yeah, a springs and retainer kit

Use a small drum puller from auto zone.(free rental) Good luck

This is the one i use, and i use the second tip or the fifth tip. Put it in the adjustment hole of the drum, and bang it off, works good
