Tach stopped working
1 Attachment(s)
I have this ENM pt-15 tach which has stopped working. When the engine is off it is supposed to read hours and when it is on rpms. The problem is it does not change to rpms. Worked fine up until today now it just reads 5.9 hrs. I have checked everything. I tried messing with the ground and rewrapped lead and it still hasn't changed. Has anyone else had one of these do that?

Re: Tach stopped working
What kind of cart is it on?

Re: Tach stopped working
What powers it? Some mini tach's use a watch battery

Re: Tach stopped working
It is on my club car with a clone engine. It has a lithium battery that is non-replaceable. supposed to be good for 5 years or something like that.

Re: Tach stopped working
Is there a reset button? The kind that requires ball point pen to press.

Re: Tach stopped working
I will check.

Re: Tach stopped working
No resets on it. I am wondering if moisture got into the lead wire and corroded the wire. I am going to try and cut some of it off and try it again. If that doesn't work I guess I'll buy another tach.
