Club Car Electric Stopped working
 

Hello all, First timer. My 1984 Club Car stopped all of a sudden. In the past, the cart would stop and if you tapped on the solenoids it would run again, this has happened a dozen or so times in the last year. I thought maybe the batteries died, but when you hook up the charger, charger amp meter stays at zero. Could this be a problem with the forward reverse switch. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

First, I would say you might be looking at new solenoids if you have been having to tap them and then the cart will work, but it could be the batteries as well. To check the batteries get a hydrometer (battery fluid testing thing) and check the batteries and report back with the readings.

I had a friend of a friend come out and check the batteries, he said they checked out fine. (didnt get any reading from him). I will have more time in the next week to investigat. I will post an update once the issue is resolved.

Sounds like solenoids sticking.

Well, I could not wait a whole week, changed solenoid and everything is fine.
