Quick question about Stater/generator

Hey guys got kinda an afterthought question. I just ordered a starter/gen from an outfit called DB electrical I use them for early model GM generator rebuilds for years. My question is with these starter/generators is there a clockwise or counterclockwise difference or it how they are wired during install that dictates which way they spin?

Re: Quick question about Stater/generator

When I did a search for an S/G for my buddies 94 a few years ago,
it seemed the Club Car S/G's were the only one's that were directional, (including rebuilt one's)
It also seemed to me that most new overseas copies were bi-directional,

With all of the eBay adds I poured through doing my search,
I found most of the S/G's that were directional, stated that in the add, "fit's 1992 to 1996" or... "fit's 1997 to 2009"
and the ones that were bi-directional were stated "fit's all years".
