Belt squeal
I have just installed the shorter belt on my 85 Ez Go. Now when I start it I get a light squeal and the cart tries to lurch while starting. Is this normal.

No, thats not really normal. After some running it should quit lurching, how much shorter of a belt are you using? I have never done that mod on the older 2 strokes so my knowledge is limited on those.

It was the 1 inch shorter belt that they gave the number of in the Sticky. Maybe it just needs some breaking in. Thanks for the reply. Im new to this cart stuff. I will post back after a while if this continues.
