14" Wheels w/ 6" Lift Kit?

I am looking at buying a 6" Jakes Spindle Lift Kit and wheel combo for my 2009 CC Precedent, but want to know if a 14" wheel (23 x 10 x 14) tire combo will rub or do I need to go with 12" wheel (23 x 10.5 x12) tire? I like the look of the 14" wheel, but dont want/need any problems. Any input is appreciated.

It doesn't matter how big your wheel is. This is a very common misconception. Both tires are 23" tall. Rim size is irrelevant.

Understood, but why does Jakes' website indicate that they only support 12" rim and not a 14" rim? Offset maybe?

If I go with a 6" Jakes Spindle Lift Kit, 14" Wheels/Tires, and HD Leaf Springs, I should be okay right?

I don't see why not. I don't have much experience with Jakes. I'm all All-Sports man. Someone with a Jakes kit should chime in, but I see no reason at all why the wheel size would make any difference at all.

I agree... its not wheel size, but tire sized. Ive had 14's on two of my carts, but I always do an A-arm lift... much better than a spindel lift in my opinion. Just as easy to install as well. I currently have 12's, but still have 23" tires. I use mine for hunting and having more rubber sure helps with the ride.

The only difference is that the 12" wheels with 23" tires will ride a bit softer than the 14" wheels due to a little taller sidewall on the tires. I'm a 14" wheel fan and have them on both of my carts, but also have the All Sports A-Arm lift on both as well. Love that lift!

I'm a fan of All-Sports A-Arm kit. Jakes spindle kit is a quality kit, but I prefer the All-Sports due to driveability. It's not a manufacturer thing, it's a spindle vs A-arm thing.

Right, but allsports has a regular a arm lift and the super sport a arm lift. It looks like the super sport uses round tube and the regular uses flat steel. At least from the pics.

Which one do you use?

Re: 14" Wheels w/ 6" Lift Kit?

We use the SuperSport on our Precedents. On our DS cars we use the factory lift kit. The only difference between the standard A arm kit and the Super Sport in the front suspension is styling. It looks a little different. Same basic design though. The rear supersport kit uses two u-bolts per side instead of one.
