Trouble Oil in Air Box

i have a 99 ezgo with the 295 engine (EH29C}

it spits oil out the carb.
also when hot it loses power and is hard to start.

i checked compression ,cold and dry only

155psi one side 120psi the other side

my question is , will a set of rings cure my problem
or is there something else i should do.

thanks

Re: Trouble Oil in Air Box

1 - You may have too much oil in the engine. 1 1/2 qts is full.
2 - Have you adjusted your valves? The compression is LOW. Valve adjustment is .004", which should gain some compression, assuming your rings are good.
